At the heart of the SNFCC Christmas World, situated on the Canal in front of the Agora, is the SNFCC Ice Rink. Between 1 December 2018 and 27 February 2019, it will be welcoming visitors of all ages to ice-skate.

The ice rink will be open daily, from 10am until 10pm, weather permitting. Entry is free, and visitors can book a 40-minute slot. Slots will open weekly, every Thursday on 12pm.

The operation of the SNFCC ice rink may be suspended / modified if the weather conditions do not allow it. If the ice rink does not operate due to weather conditions, please re-book a new date.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE OF THE ICE RINK

  • The ice rink, will be open daily from December 1st 2018 to February 24th 2019, from 10am to 10pm, weather permitting. For weather related announcements with regard to the opening times of the ice rink, please consult the SNFCC website.

  • Entrance to the ice rink is free and visitors can book a 40-minute slot on SNFCC.org. You are advised to be at the SNFCC at least 15’earlier, otherwise, your reservation will be canceled.

  • The operation of the SNFCC ice rink may be suspended / modified due to weather conditions. If the ice rink does not operate due to weather conditions, please re-book a new date.

BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Visitors, take part in the ice rink under their own responsibility.

  • For their own safety, participants have to follow the instructions of the facilitators.

  • Participants, who impede other skaters, will be requested to leave the ice-rink.

  • Smoking is not permitted within the ice rink.

  • For safety reasons, participants are not allowed to eat, drink and chew gum or use cell phones and other electronic devices within the ice rink.

  • Umbrellas, canes or other sharp objects are not permitted within the ice rink.

  • Participation in the ice rink is not allowed to people who are under the influence of drugs or other toxic substances.

FOR THE SMOOTH FUNCTION OF THE ICE RINK

  • In the event that the participants carry their own ice skates, those must be in the best possible condition so as not to cause damage to the rink and its structures avoiding possible injuries. If the ice rink operators consider that, the ice skates are not in good condition, participants should then use the equipment of the ice rink.

  • Participants up to 16 years old are allowed to enter as long as an adult accompanies them upon arrival. Operators may ask for your identity card to verify your age.

  • The ice rink is suitable for children older than 5 years of age.

  • For participants up to 16 years old the use of gloves is mandatory. We recommend that you bring your own gloves. Otherwise, children's gloves are available.

  • The rink is only for in-line ice skaters.

  • Any other activities on the ice rink are not permitted.

  • The use of helmets and other protective equipment (patella and shoulders) is highly recommended.

  • Kids helmets are available for lending.

  • No attendants and spectators are allowed to enter the ice rink.

  • Pets are not permitted in the ice rink.

  • Participants should be in good physical condition.

  • You are not allowed to stay in the area of the ice rink, unless you are ice-skating.

HIGH RISK GROUPS

Doctors prohibit the use of the ice rink to people with a history of cardiovascular disease or musculoskeletal problems. In addition, pregnant women are not allowed to use the ice rink
