If you dig to find the origins of the Full Moon celebrations you will get to Ancient Greece...

Now that you are in Greece, and we have tried to give you a few alternatives on how to live the myth...

The Acropolis Museum will be open until midnight and there will be a musical performance by the City of Athens Philharmonic Orchestra at 21:00. (Free entrance from 20:00 to 24:00)

The National Archaeological Museum will be open until 23:45 and it will host the following events:

20:15 - 21:15 | Archaeologist discussion titled "The Amenities of the time"

21:30 - 22:15 | Theatrical lecture by students form the "Delos" Drama School

22:30 - 23:30 | Musical event by the Greek Guitar Club

(Free entrance from 20:00 to 23:45)

The Numismatic Museum will host in it's courtyard the musical event "La Luna" by Marian Georgiou, Adam Tsarouchis, Elias Argyropoulos and Dimitris Karagiannis at 21:00.

The Acropolis Archaeological Site will be open until 20:00.

The Kerameikos Archaeological Site will be open until 23:45.

The Archaeological Site of the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion will be open until midnight.

It is the only day of the year where these sacred sites remain open until that late and it is a unique experience...

*The Moonrise will occur at 20:18 at the position of 108 degrees on a compass.
